Become an Technical Official

Technical Officials are important to our organisation and any professional swimming body.

The National Technical Official Accreditation Program, conducted by Swimming Australia in conjunction with Swimming                    Queensland, introduces an individual to the basic competencies required to officiate at Swimming Australia, Swimming Queensland and Darling Downs Swimming sanctioned meets. This accreditation program also provides a clear and defined pathway for Technical Officials to move from officiating at their local club meets to officiating at the Olympics.

Swimming Australia has six officiating modules online to become accredited in any of the positions below:
               General Principles of Officiating
               Timekeeper/Chief Timekeeper
               Clerk of Course
               Check Starter
               Judge of Strokes
               Inspector of Turns

Once successfully completed, the member will be awarded theory pass documentation.

Then once ready, the member should contact an accredited assessor
